EATON — Robert Paul Combs, 91, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 in Richmond. Born Dec. 1, 1929 in Charles City, IA, he was the son of the late Paul A. and Edna I. (Brown) Combs.
Bob was a retired Dixon Township farmer, a 1948 graduate of Jackson High School, member and deacon of Concord Church, and served as a Township Trustee for 10 years. He had formerly worked for the Preble County Engineers office. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel F. Combs, in 2019; and brothers: Edward H. "Eddie" Combs and Donald J. "Jim" Combs. He is survived by his children: Joyce Elaine and Ford Cornett; Karyn Diane and Don Jordan; and Daniel Robert "Mort" and Cathy Combs; brothers: Loren I. "Bud" (Lois) Combs, Phillip "Bingo" (Judy) Wright and Marvin Lee "Oscar" (Bonnie) Combs; sister: Marian Irene "Sis" Smith; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family, with Rev. James Sizelove officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton.
