GARY PURSIFULL Obituary

GARY A. PURSIFULL Gary A. Pursifull, 78, of West Harrison, Ind., passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Elmer C. and Dorothy M. (Raabe) Pursifull on August 12, 1946. He proudly served in the Vietnam War as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marines. Gary graduated from Harrison High School in 1964 in Harrison, Ohio, and he attended Ohio State University. Gary retired as a tax specialist from Proctor and Gamble. He was a Harrison Ohio Youth Football League Couch and President for decades. Gary is survived by daughters, Tracy Troyer of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Shannon (Lynn Lampe) Gantzer of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Ryan Gantzer, Kate Sears, and Claire Gantzer; great-grandson, Silas Sears; sisters, Sandy (Bill) Steinfort and Karen (Joe) Horan and former spouse, Mary Beth Pursifull. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Joe Pursifull and his partner, Judy Kirchgassner. Celebration of Life gathering took place on Thursday, October 3 from 2 - 5 p.m. at Yeager Benson Memorial American Legion Post 199, 10700 Campbell Road, Harrison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Ohio, formerly Shriners Hospital, for the care of burn patients and Disabled American Veterans.
