JANE HELENA STADTLANDER Jane Helena Stadtlander (nee Petersmann). Survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Dale Stadtlander, her mom Emily Cassedy Petersmann, her siblings William "Bill" Petersmann and Sara Petersmann (Dustin "Scott" Schermbeck), two sisters-in-law, Vicki Petersmann and Sue Kersey, nieces Melissa and Christy, and nephew Mark. She was met at the pearly gates by her dad Wilbur (Pete) Petersmann, grandparents John and Helen Cassedy, and William "Bill" and Helen Petersmann, her nephew Ryan and her brother David. We are also quite sure she was met by a host of horses, dogs, and barn cats. She was Jane to her business associates, Janie to her family, and Miss Jane to the numerous lesson students with whom she shared her great passion for horses. A self-made woman, Jane became a skilled and sought after mortgage loan underwriter and auditor, completely self-taught. Jane and Bob built her beloved Penystone Vista Stables from the ground up, creating a successful business in which allowed Jane to fully pursue her lifelong love of horses - a love shared with her as a child by her dad. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and Friends of the Smokies. Jane suffered through an extended illness - showing an amazing fortitude and surprising us all in how strong she fought to carry on. Even while under hospice care she was able to take a few last vacations with Bob to her two favorite travel destinations - Hawaii and the Great Smoky Mountains. We are forever grateful for the time we had with our amazing wife/sister/daughter/cousin/friend/teacher. Jane touched many lives and we are all the better for experiencing life with her. May she rest in peace, pain free and well loved. Family and friends were received on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. Interment followed in Oakdale Cemetery, Dillsboro, Ind.
