LONNIE KLOPP Lonnie Douglas Klopp, 75, of Versailles, Ind., formerly of Lawrenceburg, Ind., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. He was born on March 13, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the beloved son of the late Frederick and Ogla (Miller) Klopp. Lonnie was known for his lively spirit and great sense of humor. He was an avid walker who also enjoyed watching TV, tossing horseshoes, dancing, and listening to music. A passionate card player, Lonnie loved spending time with his family and friends, sharing laughs and creating cherished memories. His joyful nature and kind heart made him beloved by all who knew him. He is survived by his son, Lonnie Klopp Jr.; daughters, Debra Kay Klopp and Shelly Ranshaw; and three special nieces, Dainyon Johnson, Cynthia (Jerry) Johnson, and Linda Cox. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Ogla Klopp; his brother, Eugene "Butch" Klopp; and sisters, Shirley Cox and Kay Sloan. Family and friends were received on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. A funeral service followed at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment took place at Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Arrangements were entrusted to Fitch-Denney Funeral Home.
