MARCENE FRANK 03/23/1925 - 11/03/2025 Marcene Frank, 100, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born on March 23, 1925, in New Washington, Ohio, the daughter of the late Chester and Mabel (Shoup) High. Marcene was a proud graduate of Hilliard High School. Marcene dedicated much of her career to serving children and families as the Director of Head Start in Lorain, Ohio. Her compassion, leadership, and lifelong commitment to education left a lasting impact on her community. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Toon; her son, Brad (Julie) Frank; three grandchildren, Bryan Frank, Patrick Toon, and Marcy (Troy) Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Drew, and Chase Anderson; and several extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. Marcene was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 52 years, Bert Frank; and her son-in-law, Dan Toon. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church in Lawrenceburg with Pastor Ryan Goode officiating. Interment will take place at Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local public library, Lutheran Charities of Detroit, Mich., or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
