Alice DeCosa Obituary
February 18, 1934 – November 13, 2025
Bantam – Alice Mae Walker DeCosa, passed away on November 13, 2025, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Born February 18, 1934, in Torrington, CT, to the late Martin and Catherine (Emmons) Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Angelo DeCosa, and grandson, Sgt. Charles Strong, USMC. Alice is survived by her sister, Mary Walker Curtiss, daughters, Debby DeCosa Schutt (Edward) and Mary DeCosa Strong (Donald), grandsons, Jasen Strong, and Will Schutt; eight great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Sophie, Sawyer, Aryana, Charley Mae, Alexander, Lilyanna, and Yasmina, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Alice worked at Avalon Farms, Bantam Special Products, and Torrington Company. Alice loved spending time with her great-grandchildren and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be sent to the Bantam Fire Company Ambulance, 92 Doyle Road, Bantam, CT 06750.
A Celebration of Life luncheon will be announced in the spring.
