Brenda Donahue Obituary

Brenda Ann Donahue
Waterbury - Brenda Ann Donahue, 66, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Brenda was born in Waterbury on May 18, 1959, daughter of Barbara Jones, and the late Frank Morelli. Brenda began her career with the State of Connecticut, as a caregiver for residents of the Southbury Training School in the late '80s. She continued her service of caring for others for many decades as a youth advocate for the Department of Children & Families, where she worked with at-risk girls living in a group home setting. After her recent retirement, Brenda enjoyed the quiet comforts of life in the home that she shared with her mother. She loved all of her cats, past and present, Stormy, Max, and Maggie.
She leaves behind her mother, Barbara Jones; her sisters, Barbara Morelli, and Betsy Uljua; her nieces and nephews, Jennifer DeWitt, Erin Ganz, Jesse Hoyt, Tanya, Jessica, Michael, Jeremiah, and Autumn; her Aunt DeDe and Uncle Harry Jackson, and their children, Timothy, Steven, and Maureen; as well as cousins, Robert Lindsey Jr., Tina Walker, Corine Lindsey, and Michael Lindsey Jr; her sister-in-law, Ida Rosado; her brother-in-law, Dick Hoyt, and his wife, Suzanne; her sweet Maggie Mae, and several other extended family members.
She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Francis O'Neill.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 5, at 10:00 a.m. at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St., Waterbury.
