Bruce Woundy Obituary
October 10, 1944 - August 19, 2025
Bruce R. Woundy, 80, of Hudson, MA, departed this world and joined his beloved wife, Rosemary, in their heavenly home on 8/19/2025 after a short illness. Born in Stamford, CT, Bruce was the son of the late Roger and Doreen Woundy of Woodbridge, CT.
He is survived by his children, Richard Woundy and wife Jodi of Philadelphia, PA, Thomas Woundy and his wife Maureen of Marlborough, MA, Melissa Woundy of Beacon Falls, CT, the daughter of his heart, Carla (D'Amato) Woundy of North Reading, MA, his four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother, Brian Woundy, and his wife, Cher. He was predeceased by his sister, Eileen (Woundy) Reifsnyder.

To the Woundy family. Barbara and I express our sincere condolences for the loss of Bruce. We knew him as a neighbor in prospect and also as a fellow employee of SNET. When they retired to Florida, we were able to visit him at a place not far from where my son lived in Stuart, Florida. May he rest in peace.

We spent a great deal of time together when Bruce and Rosie lived in Prospect. Bruce joined the Jaycees specifically so he could run the Shooter Education Program and he produce champion teams. I also recall sitting in their living room timing Betty Lou's labor pains to decide when to take her to the hospital. We were all more nervous than we needed to be.
Bruce was the best!
