Charles MacDonald Obituary
Charles D. MacDonald, at the age of 95 years old, departed this life on October 6, 2025, at home with family. He was born on June 27, 1930, in Waterbury, CT. Charles was the son of the late John and Dorothy MacDonald.
Charles attended school in Waterbury and received a Certificate from Stratford Career Institute for machinist. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharge in 1960. He worked as an Elevator Operator and went on to be a machinist at Cly-Del Manufacturing Co. Charles enjoyed many hobbies, photography, roller skating, water skiing, swimming, and baseball. He was a member of MT Olive A.M.E. Zion church and served on the Rosa Weller Usher board.
Charles leaves behind his beloved wife Ann Williams MacDonald, sister-in-law, Evelyn Lawson of Waterbury and a nephew, Johnnie MacDonald of Texas. He leaves two Godsons, Joey Jaynes and Rene Cunningham. He shared a close relationship with his two nieces, Sheila Williams Graham and Deirdra Williams Mallory. He was predeceased by his brother, John William MacDonald.
Charles was loved dearly by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to Eva, Aida, Althea, Wofford, and Dwayne for your love, care, and support.
