Charlotte (Gray) LeClair
Charlotte (Gray) LeClair, of Thomaston and Proctorsville, Vermont, passed away surrounded by love and family. She was the cherished wife of Andrew LeClair and the beloved daughter of Nikki and Grant Gray. Charlotte grew up in East Hartford, Connecticut, and graduated from the University of Connecticut, where she later earned her Master of Social Work. She dedicated her career to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, where her compassion and commitment touched countless lives. After retiring, Charlotte and Andy embraced the beauty of Vermont, spending their days skiing, biking, hiking, and enjoying the company of dear friends. Their adventures took them across the country and abroad, with memorable trips to the West and Europe for skiing and vacations. Charlotte remained active, working out regularly at local health clubs until injuries slowed her pace. A lifelong reader, Charlotte found joy in the libraries of Thomaston and Proctorsville. Her friendships were a cornerstone of her life-from her high school best friend Susan, to her women's group at DCF, and the many companions she met through the Mountain Laurel and Newington Ski Clubs. Charlotte is survived by her devoted husband Andy; her daughter Renee LeClair Dailey and her fiancé Rick Beyus; her grandchildren Kylie and Jake Dailey; her nieces Ani Zamgochian and Missa Alicea; her nephew Aram Zamgochian; and her brother-in-law Garo Zamgochian. She also leaves behind several cousins, in-laws, and extended family members who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Agnes Ross and Mary Zamgochian, and her brother Fred Gray.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston.
