Thomaston- Christopher Paul Santora, 37, passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on January 29th, 2026, surrounded by his family, after a long illness
He was born in Waterbury, CT, and attended St. Mary's Grammar School and Kennedy High School, where he was involved in the SOAR Program. Chris is survived by his loving parents, Ron and Deborah (Gratton) Santora of Thomaston; his brother, Jeffrey and his wife, Theresa; and his cherished niece, Bianca.
Chris leaves behind his one-year-old French bulldog, Roman, who he loved spending time with at home or for a ride in his truck. Before Roman, he had another French bulldog named Lucia, who he cherished for ten years until her passing. Chris had an affinity for animals, especially dogs, and would go to great lengths to help a dog in need.
Chris consistently demonstrated a kind and generous nature, always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend or family member. Family values were deeply engrained in him, and he treasured the time spent with his grandparents. He was always available to assist them with their needs or to visit them. His parents lived with him in his Thomaston home for the past five years. Chris enjoyed cooking family dinners and often experimented with recipes that highlighted his culinary expertise. When he was younger, he worked for the Nissan dealership in Middlebury and was a CEO for Marshall Browning International Co. for 8 years. Most recently, he was an account manager for the Make a Home Foundation in Middlebury.
Family and friends may visit at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, in the morning, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, at a date and time to be announced by the family.
