Colleen O'Connor Obituary

Colleen Borger O'Connor
February 3, 1967 – October 11, 2025
Colleen Borger O'Connor, 58, of East Amherst, New York, formerly of Woodbury, Connecticut, passed away on October 11, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.
Colleen was the devoted wife of Kevin O'Connor and the proud and loving mother of Kaitlin Rampado (Andrew), Marah M. O'Connor, and Timothy C. O'Connor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Carl Borger, and her aunt, Maureen Aronson. She is survived by her sisters Karen Packtor (Joseph) and Kathleen Sayre (Kevin), her uncle, Richard Aronson, her cousin Margaret Labelle (Christopher), and numerous nieces and nephews.
To her family, she was everything - the constant source of love, laughter, and comfort. She had a way of making every ordinary day feel special and every person feel seen.
A lifelong teacher, Colleen spent her career nurturing young minds as an elementary and preschool teacher. Her classroom was always filled with creativity, warmth, and care - a reflection of the incredible heart she shared with everyone she met. She found joy in helping children grow and her kindness left a lasting mark on countless families.
Colleen was known by all who loved her as selfless, thoughtful, and genuine. She had a beautiful way of caring for others - whether through her comforting words, a thoughtful gesture, or her contagious laugh that could light up any room. She was the kind of friend who showed up without being asked and gave without expecting anything in return.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, family, and friends - but her spirit will live on in the love she gave so freely and the lives she touched so deeply.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Colleen's life during calling hours at Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home (8630 Transit Rd.) on October 17, 2025 from 3–7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Swormville (6919 Transit Rd.) on October 18, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Roswell Park Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Hospice of Erie County or the Sloan Comfort Care Home.

Yesterday

To say that it has been a tough two years for your family is an understatement. There are really no words to express my sadness for Colleen and your family. Let your faith carry you. Colleen has returned to the loving embrace of her parents, and now you all have more angels watching over you. She is never truly gone if you believe . With Love, Kim Russ, (Margaret´s friend)
