Doris Baker Obituary

Doris Milagros Baker
Doris Milagros Baker, 61, passed away on January 28, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Clair R. Baker, Jr.
Born on October 22, 1964, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John Robert Swingler and Dorris Wheeler.
Doris was raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Olney High School with high honors.
She worked in the banking industry for 25 years, spending the majority of her career with Union Savings Bank before medically retiring in 2016 as the AVP of Administration.
Doris loved being with her grandchildren, especially Grayson who lived with her and his mother, Alyssa. He made her day when every day he would tell her "I love you, Mimi." Her grandson, Trey, a teenager, would call her just to talk and come over to visit.
She loved being one of Jehovah's Witnesses, the ministry and all the privileges that came with it including working at the Patterson Bethel in the first stages of construction. At the end of the day, she was tired but it was a good tired.
In addition to her loving husband, Clair, Doris is survived by her three children, Ariel C. Baker of Winsted, Jared J. Baker of Portland, OR and Alyssa Baker of Bantam; six brothers and sisters, William Medina, Irving Medina, Marilyn Medina, Edwin Medina, Hector St. Clair, Zulema Parchment; five grandchildren, Trey Bayette, Jackson Halsted, Cheyanne Halsted, Bella Baker and Grayson Baker, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 21st at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 22 Old Park Lane Road, New Milford.
