"Beloved mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and sister"

Giocondina "Gina" (Orsini) Ceniccola, 96, of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Gina was born on December 23, 1928, in Cerreto Sanitta, Italy, daughter of the late Thomas and Catarina (Longo) Orsini, a Christmas baby. She deeply loved her family and would do anything for them. Gina truly embraced her Italian heritage and loved to cook for her family with fresh vegetables and fruit grown from her garden. She had many hobbies besides her love for cooking and baking, like sewing, crochet and admiring and caring for her home and property. A foodie at heart, she grew up tending the family farm, where she grew and foraged for the finest and freshest ingredients, becoming master of the kitchen at a young age, after her mother passed at a young age. Eventually she moved to the United States with her family. The neighborhood became an Italian village of family and friends, community club parties and fun times. She was a member Watertown Senior Center. Her family was her life.
Gina leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Linda Kulmann of Waterbury, CT, Marrico "Rico" Ceniccola of Oakville, CT, brothers, Joseph Orsini of Florida and Samuel Orsini of Waterbury, CT, her grandchildren, Natalie Rinaldi, Stephanie Pellegrini and Nathan Kulmann, four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Remo Ceniccola, married to Luigia Ceniccola of Watertown, CT, brothers, Thomas, John and Anthony Orsini, and former husband, Remo Ceniccola.
Arrangements: A calling hour for Gina will be held on Saturday, November, 15, 2025, from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Wake at St. Mary Magdalen Church, in Oakville, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
