Howard Reopelle Obituary

Howard E. Reopelle, Jr.
Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend
It is with deep sadness and profound grief that we announce the passing of Howard E. Reopelle, Jr.,71, of Waterbury who died peacefully at his home on Wednesday April 2, 2025, while enfolded in the love of his beloved family. Howard was the devoted husband of Linda Blanc Reopelle, for 25 wonderful years. Born November 15, 1953, in Waterbury, the son of the late Howard E. Reopelle Sr and Dolores Gugliotti Reopelle. After graduating from Kaynor Technical High School, he spent his working years as an accomplished electrician for various companies before his retirement.
Howard was the go-to man if you wanted something fixed, created or renovated. He was an electrician by trade but could do just about anything. Always friendly, Howard was the one with the corny Dad jokes or a funny story to share. His family was his true joy. He prioritized time with his kids, coaching their sports and supporting them in whatever endeavor or dream they pursued. His grandchildren were the light of his life in later years. Always the proud grandfather, if he couldn't be physically present at their games, he was the first call they received when the game was over.
Howard loved the beach, particularly Misquamicut, mostly because that is where he met the love of his life, his wife Linda. Twenty-five years together brought them much joy. Not only as husband and wife but truly each other's best friend, Howard, will be terribly missed.
Left to cherish his love and memory beside his wife Linda are his children; Kari Reopelle of Wolcott, Tracy Eastwood (Marc) of Waterbury, Howard Reopelle III of Wolcott and Jonathan St. Pierre (Elyssa) of Southington and his brother Joseph Reopelle of Deep River and sister Mary Mitchell of Bristol. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren Jack Derasmo, Isaiah Shaw and Seth Eastwood and several nieces and nephews. Howard is predeceased by his parents and nephew Jeffrey Reopelle.
Friends and family are invited to visit with Howard's family on Sunday April 6, 2025, from 1pm to 2:30pm at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:30 at the funeral home.
