Janice Lynn (Toogood, Lance) Frenger, 91, of Florence, AZ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
Janice was born 11-23-1934 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the daughter of Rosetta (Foster) and Benjamin Lynn of Watertown, CT.
Janice lived her entire life in Watertown until a year ago when she relocated to Florence, AZ to live with her son Douglas Toogood and daughter-in-law Linda.
She worked at Mayo's Restaurant in Middlebury for 30 years before becoming co-owner of Home Plate Restaurant in Watertown. She then went on to manage the Student Center at Taft School in Watertown. Janice was also an active lifetime member of the First Congregational Church of Watertown. She loved her family and friends dearly. Janice loved participating in the Lynn Family Reunion. She will be greatly missed by all.
Janice is survived by her children, Carol (Toogood) Sabetta and her husband John of Boynton Beach, FL, Douglas Toogood and his wife Linda of Florence, AZ, stepson Brian Lance and his partner Sue Pacquin of Ocala, FL, stepdaughter Jeanne Frenger of Casa Grande, AZ and granddaughter Kellijean Press and her husband Daniel and great grandson Lionel of Delray Beach, FL.
She also leaves behind two sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Lynn of Colebrook, CT and Joan Lynn Blum of Cheshire, CT and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Janice was predeceased by her husbands Edwin Toogood, Ernest Lance and Henry Dewey Frenger; and siblings: Hazel Lynn Perkins, Elizabeth (Betty), Lynn Vaughn, Robert Lynn, Doris Lynn Foran, Phyllis Lynn Erling, Barbara Lynn Blum, and Foster Donald Lynn
Funeral services for Janice will be held at a later date.
