Marie Paolino Obituary

Marie Jeanne Paolino
May 14, 1942 – April 24, 2025
Jeanne Paolino, 82, of Waterbury, beloved wife of Vincent Paolino, passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2025, following a long and courageous battle with multiple health challenges she's faced along her life's journey.
Born on May 14, 1942, in Fort Kent, Maine, Jeanne was the daughter of Corona Long and Albert Michaud and the stepdaughter of Albert Parent. She was one of a large, loving family and is survived by her siblings, Rodger Michaud, Robert Michaud, Roland Parent and his wife Noreen, Rachel Brown and her husband Michael, and Alice Oulette. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Francis Kaminsky, and brother-in-law, Vincent DeRienzo. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Mucciacciaro, her sister-in-law, Marion DeRienzo, her brothers-in-law, William Kaminski and Vernon Oulette.
Jeanne married the love of her life, Vincent Paolino, and together they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to three daughters, Dori Salvador, Tina Dogramatzis, and Michelle Paolino, and a loving mother-in-law to Tom Salvador, George Dogramatzis, and Charles Phelan.
She was also a proud grandmother to Alayna Behlman (husband Steve), Vincent Dogramatzis, Alexa Russo (husband Neal), Katlyn Salvador, Thomas Salvador, Ellie Phelan, Liam Phelan, and Mia Phelan. Her legacy continues through her six great-grandchildren: Aria, Grant, and Ford Behlman, and Scarlett, Angelo, and Nora Russo.
Jeanne was known for her incredible love and compassion for animals. She devoted many years of her life to volunteering with spay and neuter programs, fostering and rescuing countless animals in need. Her gentle, nurturing spirit touched every creature that crossed her path.
Jeanne was also adamant about being available for her girls and took jobs that included working in their school (Holy Cross) or working alongside them in Waterbury Hospital.
Jeanne's life's joy was spending time with her husband and family, whether going out shopping with her kids or grandkids, going to dinner with Vin or her favorite, a trip to the casino. Every moment shared together with family was filled with love, laughter and fond memories.
Although Jeanne faced numerous medical challenges towards the end of her life, each challenge was met with courage, grace, and an unwavering spirit. Jeanne's enduring love, and resilience, was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne's memory may be made to the ASPCA, an organization that was close to her heart.
A Mass will be held on her birthday, May 14th, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave., in Waterbury, at 10:00 AM, immediately followed by a gathering of family and friends at Verdi Restaurant.
