Mark Muccino Obituary

Mark J. Muccino
Mark J. Muccino, of Fairfield, formerly of Wolcott, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 13, 2025. Born in Waterbury on November 21, 1947, the son of the late John Muccino and Charmaine (Duby) Muccino. He was a graduate of Wolcott High School and the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in Fine Arts. He enjoyed the simple joys of life, surrounded by family and friends. A master craftsman specializing in furniture making, sculpture, leatherwork and glassblowing. Additionally, he repaired and crafted guitars and other string instruments often dedicating up to a year perfecting a single piece. His love of sailing led him into handicapping sailboats in races worldwide, including the America's Cup.
Left to honor his love and memory are his brothers, Brett (Ellen) Muccino of Wolcott, John Muccino of Kansas City, KS and sisters Charmaine (Steven) Masters of Williamstown, MA, Cheryl Heywood of Etowah, NC and Barbara (Brad) Vanacore of Columbus, GA. He also leaves his sisters and brothers-in-law Lucia Leone and Robert Ubaldo of Redding and Rita (Robert) Lichtman of Rockland, ME, as well as his honorary son Brett (Aja) Conley of Gorman, ME. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his cherished and devoted wife Cyd Leone in 2012, his brothers-in-law Fred Heywood and Donato Leone and sisters-in-law Susan Buczek and Joanna Leone.
Arrangements entrusted to Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
