Nestor Rodriguez
Mr. Nestor Rodriguez, 82, beloved husband of 56 years of Rosita (Ramos) Rodriguez passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6th.
Nestor was born in Ponce, PR on August 9, 1942, son of the late Pedro and Herminia (Velasquez) Rodriguez. He was one of many siblings. He served in the US Army in Vietnam and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. Nestor and Rosita were married in 1968 and moved to Wolcott that day. For over 20 years, Nestor worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. Prior to that he worked for the Town of Wolcott at Frisbie School.
Nestor loved his family, enjoyed gardening and taking care of his house. He was very social and funny and well known in the community of Wolcott.
Besides his wife, left to carry on his loving legacy are his children Marcus Rodriguez, Monica Rodriguez, Patricia Rodriguez Sherer and her husband Wayne, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was recently predeceased by his daughter-in-law Lora (Venditti) Rodriguez.
Nestor's Funeral will be Friday April 11th 10:15 a.m. from Woodtick Memorial, 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott to St. Pius X Church/ St. Basil Parish for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woodtick Memorial. Visit www.woodtickmemorial.com for online condolences.

I have known the Rodriguez family since I was 3 years old. I am so sorry for your loss I remember a lot fun times hanging around there as a kid and teenage. Patty was my best friend. My condolences to the whole family .
