Richard Harrison
Naugatuck – Richard J. Harrison, age 70, of Naugatuck passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025 in the VITAS Unit at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born May 9, 1955 in Waterbury son of the late James and Claudia (Lavoie) Harrison. He was retired from Perkin Elmer after working in Logistics for many years and also worked at Timex and Pitney Bowes. He was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Waterbury, enjoyed cooking, entertaining, his Sunday Breakfast Club with friends, bingo at the casino, vacations and cruises and was affectionately known to many as "Dickie", "Dickie Donut and "Pooh".
Richard is survived by his nephews: David Dionne of Naugatuck, with whom he lived and James Dionne and niece Diana Dionne, his brother: James Harrison of Thomaston, his cousin: Nancy Lavoie Logiudice and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated prior to the visitation on Saturday September 27, 2025 at 9 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church 62 St. Michael's Drive Waterbury.
Richard's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Community Funeral Home, The Corona Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 72 Waterbury Road, next to the Post Office, in Prospect. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home immediately following the Visitation at 1 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 62 St Michael's Drive, Waterbury, CT 06704
