Dennis Williamson Obituary

Dennis Steven Williamson went to be with his God in heaven on Thanksgiving Morning, November 24, 2016. Dennis Steven was born on June 11, 1948 in Brush, Nebraska to Helen and Howard Williamson. Dennis Steven had a dual identity. To his family and friends, he was known as Steven. To his customers and co-worker at NAPA and American Parts he was known as Dennis. As Steve, he was a very giving and creative person. He loved to work in his shop doing woodworking. He designed and made lamps, communion boxes for his church, and repaired furniture or whatever someone needed fixed. He was a great handyman; he could do electrical wiring, paint, hang drywall, or just about anything that needed to be done. He was always ready to help anyone in need. Steve put his skills as a handyman to work as the Jr. Warden, for many years at All Saint's Episcopal Church. He helped coordinate the renovation of the kitchen and parish hall in 2002-2003. He changed light bulbs, mowed the lawn, and repaired anything that needed it. He was truly a jack-of-all trades. His skills and assistance will be greatly missed. He loved sharing his skills and had the opportunity to teach a young man (Shea McClain) all he knew. As Dennis the Parts Counterman at NAPA or Big A, he was the person customers went to when they needed a part for some old truck or tractor. He would search the computer until he found the part from anywhere in the U.S. He loved the challenge and the gratefulness of the customers when he found the part. He retired from the Berthoud NAPA in 2014 after 45 years in the business. He married Claudia Marie Peay on July 23, 1978. They were married for 38 wonderful years. Dennis Steven is survived by his wife Claudia and Claudia's brothers and sisters Collette (Tom) Grimshaw, Pam Peay, Gregory (Julie) Peay, Cynthia Brannan, Camella Ford, Chris Cappuccino (William), Douglas (Edie) Peay, James (Terrie) Peay, Stephen (Jodi) Peay, and Thomas (Kelly) Peay. He is also survived by two cousins, James (Audrey) Williamson, and Karen (Michael) Kramer, a half-sister Jo Ann Campbell and half-brother James (Linda) Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Helen Williamson, his step-mother Thelma Campbell Williamson and his in-laws, Claude and Mildred Peay. Memorial Services will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at All Saint's Episcopal Church, 3448 N. Taft with committal of his ashes in the All Saint's Columbarium. A luncheon will be provided by the church women immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to All Saint's Episcopal Church 3448 N. Taft, Loveland, CO 80538. Please go to www.viegutfuneralhome.com for on-line condolences.
