Toby Lara

1993 - 2015

Toby Robin Lara, 22, of Loveland, went on to ride his Heavenly Harley on Thursday, October 1st, 2015. Toby was born on August 13, 1993, in Greeley, Colorado to Paula Lara. Toby attended Ferguson High School in Loveland. After graduation, he worked for Sun Mountain Manufacturing for two years then went on to work for Black Eagle Energy Services as a crew foreman. He was a very good cook especially when it came to his chicken quesadillas and his Tomahawk Casserole. He was in Boy Scouts and achieved Life Scout. He enjoyed many outings with his dad, Chris Kennedy, and his Scout leaders, and special friends, Doc and Frog Marshall. He loved to ride his Shovelheads. He loved working on them. His mom said that "nobody could make her Fat Boy Harley sound like he could." He loved plants and had a green thumb. He loved his 1983 Chevy pick-up and was going to make it a high school graduation gift to his little sister Tomi, and she intends on making him proud. He always had the brightest smile, was very loving and giving, and always willing to help others. He was always busy working on cars, motorcycles, and anything he could get his hands on. He loved being outdoors, fishing, and camping. He was very family oriented and loved each and everyone, especially his nieces and nephews. To his mom, he was known as her "one and only." His favorite quote was "Dream as if you'll live forever; live as if you'll die today." (James Dean) Toby is survived by his mother, Paula Lara and father Chris Kennedy; his sisters, Tionna Lara (Brendan Hubbard), Tiarra Kennedy, Tricia Nanez (Junior), and Tomi Lara; his brothers Jimbo, Brent, Brandon, Andrew, Codey and Keith; his grandfather, Ronald Schlotthauer; his grandparents Marv and Linda Kennedy; a very special uncle, Ronny also known as his Vato for Life; 3 nieces, Eve, Nina, and Aaliyah, and 3 nephews, Rylan, Wesley, and Jeremiah. He had many friends and extended family, whom he cared deeply about. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Tory Lara and Tommy Boy Marshall; and a very special loving gramma, Patty Knight.
