Bobby Lee Pippin was born March 27, 1937 to Frank and Birdie Pippin in Merkel, TX. He was one of eight children.

Most of Bobby Lee's childhood days were spent pulling cotton and helping his family. In September 1955, Bob enlisted in the Navy, but due to medical problems he was discharged with honors in December of the same year.

As he got older, Bob worked various jobs in the oil field which helped advance his mechanical skills. Throughout his life, he owned and operated various businesses related to mechanics. Bob took great pride in being a self taught man and jack of many trades!

In the summer of 1954, Bob met the love of his life, Barbara and they were married December 22, 1955. Together they had five children. As a family, they lived in various places and states but always seemed to come back to the Lone Star State of Texas. At the time of his death, he resided in Merkel, TX.

Bob had a love and passion for his family and home. He could always be found working in his garden and sharing his harvest with those in need. He enjoyed fishing with his sons and talking football. Of course his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys!

Bob always wanted to know how you were. He had many friends and was well loved by all of them. His love for life was contagious and infectious. He took great pride in his kids and grandkids. He loved animals and most of the time had more than he needed!

Bobby is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara; daughter and husband, Vickie Sue Clemens & Tim; son, Wendell Lee Pippin; son and wife, Terry Dan Pippin & Carolyn; son and wife, Nicky Lane Pippin and Lisa.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Pamela Ann Pippin in 2012 and one brother and one sister. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, March 31, 2017, 11:00AM, Ranch House Fellowship Cowboy Church, 1434 Wimberly Rd, Merkel, TX.
