Charles Baldon Sr.

Baldon, Charles Edward, Sr. Was born January 27, 1930 to John Thomas Baldon and Lillian Mae Harris Baldon. Charles was an All-Star high school Halfback in Joliet, IL. He was a football player for Wichita State for two years before joining the Army, where he served from 1952-1954. On March 25, 1951, Charles married Charlotte Marie Johnson. They are the parents of five children: Charles Jr., Craig, Candace, Katheryn and Christi. After retiring from the City of Wichita as a firefighter, Charles went on to be a firefighter for Boeing, where he retired in 1994. Charles served on various committees during his 50+ year membership at Calvary Baptist Church. He entered his eternal rest November 15, 2011. His parents, John and Lillian, siblings Johnnie and Corrine; and his son Craig precede him in death. He leaved to mourn his passing, his Wife Charlotte of Wichita; Children: Charles Baldon, Jr. of Seattle, WA; Candace Baldon of Overland Park, KS; Katheryn Fox of Pensacola, FL, and Christi and Wendell Nicholson of Wichita, Kansas. 10 grandchildren: Grantez Potts of Wichita, Christopher Bolton of Wichita, Kevanna Fox of Pennsacola, FL; Jordan Fox of Chicago, IL; Darryl Fox, Jr. of Pensacola, FL; Terrance Fox of Texas; Craig Nicholson and Aaron Nicholson both of Wichita, KS. 9 great-grandchildren: Bryson Baldon, Cayden Baldon, Abigail Baldon, Kennedy Brandon, Krystin Brandon, Ariss, Adore, Eli and Angel. His siblings: Lillian Mason of Joliet, IL; Annalena Baldon of Joliet, IL; and Billy Baldon of Markham, IL. In addition there are many relatives and friends that will feel great loss.
