David Hall Obituary

It is with great sadness we must convey that David passed away very unexpectedly in a motorcycle accident in Hood River, Oregon.
David was a devoted son, brother, father, husband and friend.
An extremely well read man, David was dedicated to the study of history, most especially military history. He was an avid collector of arrowheads from his native Texas and Civil War memorabilia. He graduated from Southern Oregon State College in Ashland.
David chose to live in the beauty and serenity of Brookings in Southern Oregon with his family, after a childhood in Abilene, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Helen Hall, and son Jesse Evan.
He is survived by sons Bryce and Raine and ex-wife, Dana; brothers, Paul (Deven), Steve (Rebecca), Mark, Phillip (Nancy) and their families, also dearest friends Mike Wiley and John Corliss.
David loved living his life traveling and exploring the back roads. He was a poet at heart and wrote beautiful verse.
We cared for David deeply and he will rest in our hearts with love and a lifetime of memories.

Goodbye old buddy. You were always a true and faithful friend, the best riding partner I ever had. I miss the heck out of you and so does anybody who knew you. Ride free in heaven.

David was one-of-a-kind. We had a friendship that lasted over 50 years. I'll never forget the time that we were on our way to play rehearsal at Wylie and we're going down Antilley Road. The street department had just oiled the street and David was going a little too fast in his mom's new white Ford. We started sliding sideways and slung Oil all over that car! We went back to my house and got a Bucket of the tractor gasoline and frantically tried to scrub all the stuff off of Helen's car! I don't remember if we got away with it or not. But she didn't kill him so I guess that's good. He will be missed.
