Because of a mutual friend and neighbor of Doris, Ann Haynes, I was privileged to meet and become close too an amazing woman who was the epitome of a gracious lady. The four of us, being Doris, Connie, Ann and myself celebrated holidays, birthdays and bridge days together. We had so much fun together, eating, laughing and strolling down memory lane with Doris, which was always a trip!! We loved every minute shared with Doris as she was such an inspiration and an example to us rowdy gals. RIP dear one. You were budded on earth to bloom in heaven!

Doris was the greatest, most unexpected friendship I ever had. After my mother passed away, Doris cared for me like a son. Always an eager listener, she was willing to hear me ramble on about my issues while selflessly minimizing her own. She was full of love and wit. I treasure the memories of our fun times together. It was an honor to be with her in her golden years. Heaven welcomes this graceful and elegant servant of God! Rest in peace, dear Doris.

In loving memory of an irreplaceable life-long friend who will be sorely missed. The shared times we had together will rest forever with me and be a constant treasure. See you soon---from your six months younger friend. Betty
