Jean Pecchioni Obituary
Abilene, TX
Born July 29, 1923 in New York City, Jean Pecchioni, 92, left us to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2015. She has lived in Abilene, TX since 1982 where she and her late husband, Jack, retired.
Jean was proud to have served her country as an Admittance Clerk at Halloran Hospital during WWII. She was also a member of her local USO troop where she brought entertainment and a show of appreciation to the military personnel serving our country during WWII. Jean married in 1946. She and her late husband, Jack were blessed with two children. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she became involved in numerous church functions.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack; mother Anna; stepfather Roy; and brother Carmine. She is survived by her son Louis and wife Peggie of Abilene; her son Raymond and wife Debbie of Flower Mound, TX; her grandson Jack of Merkel; her grandson Raymond of Flower Mound; her great-grandson Stormy of Arkansas; her brother Louis of New York City, NY; her sister Carmella of Staten Island, NY; and her brother and his wife Jeanne of Titusville, FL.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, October 4, 2015 at 6:00p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00p.m. at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m., Monday, October 5, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Rd. with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene, TX 79606.

My Beautiful Sis
You tried to make a lady out of me, you taught me to curl my poker straight hair, you taught me personal grooming care, no matter what I had no flair, you took me to Radio City, you bought me clothes to look pretty, you took me to the park, under a tree on a rock, we harmonized "for me and my gall" and "I'll be with you in Apple blossom time. You took me to the park and the big city, you bought me clothes for your wedding to look pretty. How I cried that day, through all the glee, I thought you were going away from me. You wiped my tears and eased my fears, how good it is to have a beautiful big Sis, who tried to make a lady out of me. I LOVE YOU, I'LL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU IN APPLE BLOSSOM TIME"
