Jo Speck Obituary

Jo Karen (Singleton) Speck

Knox City, TX

Jo Karen Singleton Speck left her place on Earth to enter her Heavenly home at 3am on April 16, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Cremation services were under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City.

She was preceded in death by her infant sons, Rocky Glenn in 1956 and Rusty Jay in 1958, her mother, Mabel Earl in 1993, her father, Roy Vernon in 1997 and her beloved brother, Tommy Dudley in 2013 and her precious dog, Heidi, in 2017.

Karen was a true southern woman, she didn't speak a harsh word in public, never was seen without her makeup, and had a smile for everyone she met.

She left behind 2 daughters, Rhonda Lynn Grisham of Knox City, Angela Kim Swim and husband Greg of Fort Worth, 4 grandsons, Jeremy Chris Eaton and wife Lynnzie of Knox City, Adam Holmes and wife Denise of Knox City, Ty Dickson and Garett Swim of Fort Worth, 1 great grandson, Tylynne Eaton of Abilene, 2 great granddaughters, Jordyn Nauert and husband Trey of Abilene and Kinlee Eaton of Knox City. Karen was also anxiously awaiting the birth of another great granddaughter, Aria, who is set to arrive any day to proud parents of Adam and Denise.

Karen spoke longingly of looking forward to babysitting baby Aria. Karen will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Per Karen's wishes, her earthly body will be cremated and laid to rest at the feet of her boys in the DeLeon Cemetery at a later date.
