Linda Darlene Crain, 72, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 in Abilene. Graveside services will be held at 11:00a.m. Wednesday in the Tye Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Goodwin officiating under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7p.m. at the funeral home.

Linda was born September 5, 1941, in Memphis, Texas to T. J. and Dorothy Massingale Donald. Linda was a hairdresser in Abilene for 35 years and a member of the Church of Christ for 49 years in Abilene. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Benny Donald and Bobby Donald, and a nephew, Randy Donald. She is survived by her husband, Charles Vernon Crain of Abilene; two daughters, Angela (Scott) Griffin of El Campo, Texas, and Martha (Jay) Wicker of Buffalo Gap; her sister, Rebecca Donald of Abilene; and several grandchildren: Charles Casey Truman, Joshua McBride, Christina McBride, Kimberly Copeland, Angel Faith Crain, Joseph Wicker and Chandon Wicker; and three great-grandchildren, Payton Truman, Tori Truman and Hattie McBride.
