Paul Grinstead Obituary
Munday
Paul Sampson Grinstead, 97, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Paul was born June 5, 1918 in Hamlin, TX to Albert and Eva Grinstead. He married the late Flo Grinstead on September 25, 1944 in Abilene.
Paul was a graduate of Rochester High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and later was a self employed farmer. He was a member of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Knox City for many years.
Mr. Grinstead was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Flo, two brothers; Ira Grinstead and Neil Grinstead, 5 sisters; Grace Hitt, Willie Blanche Decker, Louie Shaver, Ruth Woods, and Charlie Addington. Also, one grandson Jo Paul Archer.
Paul is survived by two daughters, Linda Archer of Seymour and Lisa Grindstead of Lubbock, two granddaughters, Vonda Archer of Seymour and Ann Archer of Lubbock, two great granddaughters, Addi Archer and Katie Jo Archer both of Lubbock. Also, many nieces, nephews, and family friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Abundant Life Christian Fellowship Church in Knox City, TX. Interment will follow in Rochester Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday.
