Ronnell D. Sims (Gooba) "P-Nutt," 40, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in Jones County. A Service of praise and celebration will be held Saturday March 25, 2017 at 11:00AM, King Solomon Baptist Church with Minister Douglas Sims as the Eulogist. A visitation will also be held at the church Friday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM.

Ronnell "Gooba" Sims affecionatley known as "P-Nutt" was born April 13, 1976 in Los Angeles CA to the parents of Hertis and Margie Booker-Sims. At an early age P-Nutt moved to Abilene with his family and received his primary education from Abilene Schools, attending Mann Middle School, Cooper High School, and Abilene High School, where he excelled in Track and Field. After high school P-Nut began working and most recently worked as a electrician on the windmills."P-nutt was a free spirited person who loved to laugh, and make everyone laugh. His contagious smile would put a smile on anyone's face he came in contact with.

P-Nutt was preceded in death by his father Hertis Sims Sr., sister Candi LaShawnda Sims, and brothers; Hertis Sims II and Donnel Sims.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother Margie Sims of Abilene daughters; Tyshae Jacobs of Abilene, Kiandra Sims of Abilene, Sons: James Sims of Irving, TX, Ronnell Sims Jr. of Abilene, Shevajae Sims of Abilene, Teavajae Sims (Kayla) of Abilene. 9 grandchildren, sisters: Robin Stewart (Terry) of Houston TX, Kimberly Hicks-Wilson (Ronnell) of Abilene, Margie Denise Sims (Michelle) of Abilene, Jacquelyn Sims-Clay (Michael) of Abilene, Zargina Sims of Los Angeles CA., Denise Sims of Los Angeles CA. Brothers; Freddrake Hicks of Abilene, Hertis Sims III (Daphne) of Abilene, the mothers of his children; Katrina Smith, Mary Lou Luna, Tamika Phillips, and special friend Latitia William, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
