Samantha Chia Wyatt
Abilene

Samantha Chia Wyatt, 39, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, peacefully with family and friends by her side. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street. Burial will follow in Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will be at 2017 Clinton Street.
Samantha was born October 3, 1971 in Abilene. She first worked for Reliant Energy and then Cabo's.
Samantha loved children and was always having kids come over to spend the night. She would volunteer to baby-sit any child, whether she knew them or not.
Survivors include her greatest joy, her children, Breana, Adrianina and Elijah Cedillo; her parents, Mary Alice Chia Leija and Benito Leija; her "Boo Boo" Benito, who she adored; her "seester", Trina Montez Gotelaere, who she loved spending time with; special niece and nephew, Laura and Zachary Gotelaere. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins, a lot of awesome friends and special cousins, Brena Triana, Irene Garcia and Tina Ledesma.
Samantha was madly in love with her (make-believe) husband, Dave Matthews. She would listen to his music for hours during here painful times and it would calm her.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Reedy, Dr. Vega, Dr. Singh, Dr. Hirsch and the nursing staff for these doctors. Also, a special thanks to the Hendricks staff – we will never forget the loving care for her as well as her family and the Hendricks Hospice staff are such special people, as well.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the family.
