Diana Sharp Obituary
Diana Sharp, 90, of Rexburg, Idaho, passed away peacefully in her daughter's home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, of causes incident to age.
Diana was born on July 15, 1934, in Firth, Idaho, to Major Deward Craven Jr. and Josie Lavina Teeples. Diana graduated from Idaho Falls High School and went on to attend Ricks College, where she met the love of her life, Richard Sharp. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 23, 1956, and together they raised four children: Kelly, Kirk, Jennifer, and Stephanie.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Diana served faithfully in many callings throughout her life, including as a Primary president, in Young Women's presidencies, and as an ordinance worker in the Rexburg Temple. Her faith and service were guiding forces in her life.
Work experience included legal secretary for Idaho Falls attorneys Denman and Reeves and secretary at the Idaho Nuclear Engineering Laboratory, Alongside her husband Richard, she co-owned and operated Sharp's A&W in St. Anthony, a beloved community gathering place for 17 years. In 1979, the couple founded Sharp Weddings, where Diana poured her creativity and attention to detail into making the wedding dreams of more than 2,000 brides come true over the next 18 years.
She was preceded in death just last December by her beloved husband of 68 years, Richard Sharp. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Sharp; and two of her brothers, Bruce and Berry Craven.
She is survived by her children Kelly (Liz), Kirk (Michelle), and Stephanie Davis (Greg); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jeff Craven; and her sister, Peggy Humphreys.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Rexburg North Stake Center (314 E 2nd N). A viewing will take place prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. All who knew and loved Diana are invited to join the family in celebrating her life.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Homestead Home Health and Hospice in Rexburg-especially Tiffany, Teresa, and Ann-who became dear friends to Diana. They also wish to thank Dixie Home Hospice in St. George, Utah, especially Vanessa, Kayla, Zoe, Sue, and the on-call hero, Tala, for their gentle care and kindness.
