Linda Sessions Obituary

Linda Jo Sessions, 71, of Hurricane, Utah, died of heart failure on March 13, 2016. She was born Oct. 12, 1944, to loving parents, Earl A. and Frances Thompson Wickham in Pocatello, Idaho. When Linda was 2 years old, her family moved to St. Anthony, where her father worked on the dry farm in Drummond, Idaho. Linda's great-grandfather, Earl Montel Wickham, originally homesteaded this farm in 1904. Linda attended school in St. Anthony, met and married Clinton Bergeson, and they had one son, Klett Bergeson. They later divorced. Linda then moved to Salt Lake City, where she attended LDS Business School. She married Lynn Sessions and had a son, David Sessions. They too later divorced.
Linda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her children, grandchildren, family and friends, as well as her hometown of St. Anthony. She enjoyed telling stories and making people laugh with her funny, sometimes outrageous sayings that she learned over the years from her mom and dad. Linda had a beautiful smile and enjoyed talking with people, learning about family history, gardening and crocheting. As a single mom, she worked hard to support her boys and tried to live as near to them as she could. She wanted to be part of their lives and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Unfortunately, over the years, her health deteriorated and eventually caused her to slow down. The last few years she had to leave her receptionist job in Salt Lake City and move to a facility that would help her manage her health issues. Even with her valiant effort, her passing came as a surprise to her family. She will be missed.
She is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Hill (Gene), of Pocatello, Idaho, and Francine Best (Tom), of Caldwell, Idaho; a brother, Kent Wickham (Linda), of Windsor, Colorado; her children, Klett Bergeson (Kim), of Caldwell, Idaho; David Sessions (Misty), of Hurricane, Utah; Clay Shelton (Tanya), of American Fork, Utah; and Vikki Boyt, of West Jordan, Utah; grandchildren Brittany Bergeson, Alex Sessions, Cassie and Spencer Shelton, Jeremey, Brittney and Ashley Boyt; and two great-grandchildren, Mya and Krew. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Shelli Brown.
Graveside services and interment will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 1 p.m. at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Linda Jo Funeral Fund, P.O. Box 873, Orem, UT 84059. Tributes are welcome online at http://linda-jo-wickham-sessions.forevermissed.com.
