When we moved to Rexburg when I was in the eighth grade one of the first people that I met was a tall, kind football player named Dick Sharp. All through junior high and high school we became best of friends. Whether it was just hanging out with his bicycle, at my house playing Yahtzee, or in Jackson in his canoe, we loved being together. He was such a good friend to me. I also loved his family and their kindness to me, always. I feel so sad that I had not talked with Dick for over 30 years, but he will always have a special place in my heart... I was able to attend the funeral and I want you to know how impressed I was with the Sharp family. He was truly blessed. Please accept my love and condolences. Also a special note of thanks and love to Linda and Lois.

Dear Susan & Fam -
My heart breaks and tears fill my eyes as I write this! I was so shocked when I opened the paper - I didn't know! My memories go 'way back' as I remember always visiting with Richard as I shopped Rexburg Food Center! That was a few years ago!!! God bless YOU Susan as you face this tragedy with courage - I am praying for you and will stop by the shop often to check on you. Richard will truly be missed and will leave a huge hole!
Our love to you all!

Richard was a dear friend of my childhood. I was thinking of him just the other day. Although I haven't seen him since he graduated from high school, his wonderful sense of humor and kind heart have remained in my memory. Thank you for being a part of my life, Richard.

Dear Dick Sharp Family,
What fond memories I have of Dick! As 6 year olds we rolled marbles off the "fins" of new DeSotos in my father's car showroom; played hid 'n' seek in the garage where Dick's dad worked on cars. Later in high school I attended football games and cheered for Dick, the big lineman, whom I always call friend.
As an adult, I would go back to Rexburg for a summer vacation; I hoped I would run into Dick at the Food Center- to visit, catch-up on the news of former classmates and hear of his latest hunting adventure.
Please give my condolesences to Dick's mom, Lois, as well as your entire family.
God bless.
