Aaron Madole Obituary

Aaron James

MADOLE

1975-2008
We lost a very special person on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Aaron was loved by all who knew him. He defied convention in many senses of the word. He was extraordinarily talented with anything mechanical, but his greatest talent was people. Aaron always charted his own path, marching to the beat of his own drum, and had uncanny self confidence that was an inspiration to everyone in his life. He was always there for others and truly enjoyed helping people. He could lighten the darkest of moments and was always surrounded by friends and family. Aaron was an avid outdoorsman and constantly planning the next hunting or fishing trip. Aaron was born in Reno and grew up in Washoe Valley. He attended Pleasant Valley Elementary School, Pine Middle School, Wooster and graduated from Galena High School in 1994. Aaron attended three years of technical school and graduated with an Associate Degree as a gunsmith. He moved to Alaska and quickly became shop foreman for Wild West Guns in Anchorage. Aaron moved back to Washoe Valley 2 years ago. Most recently he was working as a heavy equipment mechanic with his Uncle Chris Larsen for Valley Hoe. Aaron has been an integral part of the community since then, whether teaching things to his nephews or delivering wood to people in the community needing it.

Aaron is survived by his parents Raymond and Mary Jo; his brothers, Sean (Michelle) and children Michael, Ryan and Isabelle, and Jeremy (Holly) and children Wyatt and Garrett of Washoe Valley. He also has numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and friends. He will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Aaron‘s life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at The First United Methodist Church. 209 W. First St., Reno, NV at 2:30 p.m.

I hadn't spoken to Aaron in over ten years, but the news of his passing weighs heavy on my heart. He was always a real gentleman, and, though he would probably grimmace if another man called him a sweetheart, he truly was. I know he had a great family and a close group of friends, and my heart goes out to you, for you are the ones who have lost a very great person in your lives. I will always remember him with his brown flannel shirt and green John Deere hat pointed almost straight up at the sky and a BIG OL' GRIN! Rest in peace, old friend...

Hearing of Aaron's passing was heart breaking. My prayers will be with all of the families this has touched. I too flashed back to my past of growing up with Aaron and all who accompanied him. I am sorry for the loss of this amazing young man.

I was in the bush guiding bear hunters when I heard about Aaron's tragedy. I have spent the last ten days wishing he was sharing the Alaska wilds with me and thinking a small part of his spirit may be.

Aaron was a mentor as a gunsmith and a personal friend. When a truly good person is gone, those that have spent time with them wish they had spent more. Aaron was a truly good person.

Try not to think of him as gone away -
His journey's just begun-
Life holds so many facets-
This earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know, today,
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
For nothing loved is ever lost.....
And he was loved so much!!
May God give Aaron's family
peace and solace with this horrendous loss.

I'm still in shock after hearing of this terrible event. Aaron was a wonderful person! We had some great conversations over the years. Several great moments from high school had Aaron in them. It's very sad to know that I won't get the chance to bump into & catch up. Aaron always marched to the beat of his own drum! I admired him for that. My heart goes out to not only the Madole family, but the Larsens as well. He will be greatly missed, but for those of us who were lucky enough to Know Aaron, will never forget him!

My dearest Aaron. I remember when I first met you in Mrs. Lawson’s kindergarten class that first day when you took my tricycle. I don’t have one childhood memory that doesn’t include you. Thank you for filling my life with such great joy. Thank you for being my best friend all those years. Thoughts of you will fill my mind and heart forever. I’ll always love you. To the Madole, Larsen and Patterson families: although words cannot begin to ease the sorrow of your loss, please know that you are in the prayers of so many who care. I am so sorry.

The news reached me just this morning, and its brought back a lot of great memories from high school days on the football field with Aaron, both at Wooster and Galena. He was a leader to a lot of us in many ways. My best wishes go out to both the Madole and Larsen families...

We met Aaron for the first time a few months ago .He and Rachele came to our gate and asked if we had lost our dog as one had just been injured a few houses down .

Although it was not ours, we went with Aaron and Rachele and together we helped comfort and care for this dog .He was so concerned for this animal and never left its side ,all the while petting him and reassuring it .He refused to leave the dog untill it got proper care .

It was really heart warming to see a person with so much compassion as Aaron had for that stray. In todays world it is rare ,which says alot for Aaron .

We are sorry for your loss .

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

I have just heard this horrible news, and am overcome with complete grief. Aaron was a childhood friend of my. The Madole's lived around the corner from us in Washoe Valley. I will remember times with Arron in Jumbo Grade back country the crazy car rides in the rabbit fields, and so much more. I loved Aaron, he was such a carefree spirit. He will be missed.

If tears could build A stairway,
And memories A lane
I would walk right up to heaven
And bring you back again
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say "Goodbye"
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why,
Our hearts still aches with sadness,
And secret tears still flow,
What it meant to love you-
No one can ever know
But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more;
To remember all the happy times,
Life still has much in store.
Since you'll never be forgotten,
we pledge to you today-
A hollowed place within our hearts
is where you'll always stay.
