Andy
Three years ago I lost my first true friend. We used to do everything together, we played marbles, cowboys and indians, red light green light and mother may I, we played football, basketball, baseball. We listened and danced to the best music the great sounds of the 1960s and 1970s.
I was there when he took his first steps, I was there when he went on his first date. I was his protector as he grew up from a young boy to an incredible man. I watched him mature and when he got married and I saw how happy he was when his children were born. I was even there for him when his heart got broken.
I lost my brother Andy three years ago and my heart still hurts and I miss him terribly.
I love you my first true friend, my brother Andy, October 20, 1952 - March 2, 2017.

Dear Andy, It's your birthday October 20th!
And its the third birthday we've spent without you, the pain of losing you is still with all of us but we're so grateful for the time we had with you. You made us smile and laugh so much and we still do when we recall our favorite stories about you.
Dad always gets a twinkle in his eyes when he talks about you and remembers your great athletic ability when you played baseball, how proud he was and still is of you and what you accomplished in your 64 years.
Mom gets so sad this time of year knowing that you are gone, I know that both mom and dad miss your phone calls and hearing your voice, we all do. We all miss saying happy birthday to you, we miss not seeing you for Easter, mom and Stacey's birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. We just miss you period!
Suzie and I talk about you and your love of music and how you introduced us to bands we had never heard of, your taste in music was incredible, thank you!. We recall stories of you and fantastic sense of humor, you were so darn funny and were able to make so many people laugh and smile.
We think of you every day and wish that you were still with us, but you had to leave and go prepare our places. So our dear Andy until we see you again, Happy Birthday, Happy Easter, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
With so much love in our hearts for you that will never end, from your loving family.
Dad, Mom, Linda, Suzie, Stacey, Andrew, Noah, Jacob, Sean, Jason, Shauna, Jade, Canyon

Today marks the second year of your passing. We all miss you so much and we think and talk about you often. Dad and mom are okay but you can still see the sorrow in their eyes they miss their son. We tell stories about your funny escapades and laugh a lot, you still bring smiles to our faces. Rest In peace our beautiful son, brother, father and grandfather. We will love you forever, your loving family.

Andy, my dear brother today marks one year since your passing, and we are all still missing you so very much. I would give anything to hear your voice again, to be able to greet you with a hug and tell you that I love you. But, I know you already know that, and I know that you're watching over all of us. I feel as though I'm missing a piece of my heart that is now filled with a void of you being gone from our lives. When I hear a certain song or remember things we did as kids growing up it warms my heart, but also brings tears of sorrow. The other night I watched a special about Eric Clapton and thought how great it would have been to watch it with you. I know that you would have loved it; it brought back many memories of songs we listened to as teenagers. There were songs from The Yardbirds, John Mayall and the Blues Breakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos, The Clapton Band and solo Eric Clapton. Others in this special were BB King, Jimmy Hendrix, George Harrison and one of your favorite drummers Ginger Baker. As I watched and listened to the songs from these great bands it reminded me so much of your love of music. And how you introduced so many of us to your great taste in music and how much fun we had when we danced together. It also reminded me of how much you looked like George Harrison in your hippie years; you were so dashing, handsome, and fun to be around.
I will always love and treasure you in my heart; you were a great caring person with such a big heart. You were kind and thoughtful sometimes to a fault. Because of your kindness some people took advantage of that, but you always gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Stacey made us a keychain in remembrance of you it has these charms on it, a heart that depicts your lifeline, a wing that tells us you're an angel now, and that we all loved you to the moon and back and to have faith that one day we'll all see each other again.
Thank you my brother Andy for being such a great person, and I'm so grateful that you were a big part of my life until we see each other again on the other side. Your loving sister - Linda

Happy Fathers Day our dear Andy. You were a great father to your children a good son to your loving parents and the best brother to your sisters. You are missed so much by all of us. Not a day goes by that we don't think of you. As a matter of fact a couple of days ago, I was telling my friends some funny stories about you I had them laughing so much. Thank you for the great memories they are now so precious and we will all cherish them. I wish I could hold and hug you and tell you how much I love you, and tell you Happy Fathers Day. Your loving sister Linda.

Andy, today marks three months that you've been gone from us. We think of you every day and miss you so much. I cried this morning while out walking Saxton. Simetimes the tears just flow from my eyes and I feel such heartache, pain and grief. I feel like we've all been robbed of so many things we could have shared as a family in the coming years. Now we hold you to our hearts and cherish our times together. Mom and Staceys birthdays are coming up it will be hard for them, as you would come to SLC for their birthdays. Mothers Day was very hard for mom, she misses you so very much. You know dad he hides his sorrow, but we've caught him crying. You are missed so much! We know you're in a better place, but we would rather have you here. Rest in peace my beloved brother, my first friend and forever friend. Your loving sister - Linda

I met Andy when he did my gutters 3 years ago. We immediately formed a friendship. I trusted him when I had many other companies biding for the job. I always would stop and talk to him when I saw him working on other houses in our area. He always made me laugh. I'm so glad I got to meet him and was very sad to hear of his passing.

Andy, today marks two months since you left us. My tears don't seem to stop and come from out of the clear blue. I know that you're in a better place but it's so very hard for us to learn how to live without you, we are trying our best.
We had beautiful "Celebration of Live" for you and I know you saw and heard everything. Cousin Jose sang three songs for you in Spanish and even had those in attendance singing along with him. Your grandson Noah played two songs on the piano he told us that the first one was the very first song he played for you. You would have been so proud of him.
Andy Valdez (the Judge), spoke about you and things you, him and your friends did growing up. He had us laughing and crying. He did mention the time he wrecked your 57' Chevy and of course your expertise as a pool player, he said that while you guys were going to the "U", that he thought you may have been majoring in pool, that got a lot of laughs.
Roger Godfrey spoke about you as well, that is until he got choked up but he did finish. He's going to miss you!
Your children Stacey and Andrew also spoke about you. Many in attendance found out that your favorite color is blue, that you loved the smell of honeysuckle, and what your favorite baseball and football teams are. They learned about your love of music and how many concerts you had attended and the concerts that you took Stacey and Andrew to, there were so many I was very impressed. They talked about what a "COOL DAD" you were and how much you are loved by both of your children.
Our cousin Father Dave recited a rosary for you and of course since most of the attendees are Catholic they recited their parts as well.
We displayed photos of you throughout your life, as a little boy and up to our last photo of you. And, of course we had some of your baseball and pool trophies along with one of your baseball mitts and in a shadow box your favorite Pink Floyd tie dyed tee , which was kind of your trademark, along with a great picture of you with Stacey and Andrew wearing that same tee shirt.
We had a buffet after your services and played a great song list of many of your favorite artists and their songs, everyone enjoyed the music you had great taste in music!
We had cards printed with your name the year you were born and year you passed away, and we included your favorite saying DO THE RIGHT THING
It was a good night in honor of you and it was so nice to see so many people attend to celebrate you. You are loved and missed by so many!
God speed Andy

Andy was my neighbor for years and made life very interesting and sometimes kind of crazy ~~He was a joker but wore his heart on his sleeve. He looked out for his friends and neighbors and always spoke of how much he loved his family. He treated his workers as friends. His infectious laugh will really be missed.
My sincerest sympathy to Susie and family.

I miss you dear brother, I miss your laugh and smile. My tears flow from my eyes with sorrow.
You always watched out for me when I was younger. I thank God that I was able to spend six weeks with you in Reno. To help you after your surgery. The day I left, you were doing well, and said " I will see your for Easter. " We hugged, I told you I loved you, you said the same to me and then we said our good byes. I never thought you would leave this earth so soon. May you rest in peace walking the streets of gold in the presence of our Lord Jesus. Remember that Jesus said "I Am the Resurrection and the life, he who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live. " To those of you who will read this, please tell your family that you love them and always forgive them.
