I had the honor and pleasure of grooming Betty's beautiful golden retrievers, Duke and Huck, for the past 5 years. I looked forward to seeing Betty and her furry boys every couple of months. She's such a happy and sweet person. Taken from us much too soon. You will be missed my friend. Keeping her family and friends in my prayers during this difficult time.

It is ironic our parents who went out socially as two couples after our mothers who both worked at Harrah's in the late 60's became friends[my parents Paula & Loris Titus]that the 2nd generation would meet at MGM-Grand Sierra and would work next door to each other 27 years.I remember Lois and Chuck Pierson from then and in later years Betty and her siblings at various Greek holiday affairs and dances. My mother helped introduce this family to these joys and this helped keep the bonds of friendship going. At the hotel I would frequently see Betty's smiling face[no cliche, she was a pleasant neighbor].Many of us who worked there for decades were connected by this bond.Clearly she was too young to leave us.I last saw her in the supermarket last July with sister Mary and we had a wonderful visit 10-15 minutes long not knowing it would be our last.Rest in Peace

Needless to say I was so shocked by Betty's death. I worked for Betty for years at the Candy Barrel balancing her checking account. She was such a wonderful person, cheerful, always a smile. She was so proud of her beautiful daughter. Betty will be missed her family meant everything to her and my heart goes out to her mom, and her siblings. Rest In Peace Betty
