Bill graduated from Belmont High in 1957. He was a master craftsman electrician, working on neon signs for Young Electric Sign Company. He loved packing latters. He truly enjoyed and was personally fulfilled by his dedicated work he did with the company. He loved the comradery and friendship he developed with the wonderful men he worked with. He worked with YESCO for 30 happy years of his life. Even after he retired, he went back part time to work for 5 more years. Bill Flood believed in hard work and doing the very best you can while you are doing it. Through his many years he created some very special and life long friendships.

Over the years he lived in Los Angeles, CA, Coleman, TX, Salina, KS and Reno, NV.

Bill loved to spend time with his family and was a wonderful family man. He loved to ride his bike around town with his loyal dog Odie by his side. Bill had a spectacularly beautiful garden and took pride in his gorgeous rose bushes. He was very well-read and had a great library with a huge variety of books. Bill loved to travel and, saw most of the USA on a long road trip he took by himself. He also traveled the world and spent a lot of time in many different countries he had always dreamt of seeing.

Bill's greatest achievements in life was being an exceptional father, grandfather, friend and confidant. He showed love, kindness and respect to everyone in his life and everyone he met. He was a very generous man. He taught his children to be kind, respectful and responsible. He taught us that being happy and content in our lives is so important and, to be strong in our minds and our hearts, that family and love is the most important thing in life. We will miss his presence deeply.

Bill loved watching PBS and donated to them yearly. He was a man who had faith, love and a good relationship with God. He was spiritual and philosophical but did not attach himself to religion.

A memorial gathering will take place, this Saturday, November 16, from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Elks Lodge in Sparks, 517 S. Rock Blvd.
