Carrie Ann Wolfe

Carrie Ann Wolfe passed away peacefully at home in Sparks, Nevada on Thursday May 13th. 2021.

A celebration of Carrie's life will be held Saturday, June 19th. At 12:00pm. at the Snowflake Picnic Area in Idlewild Park Reno. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to "Moms on the Run", an organization with which Carrie was closely connected. Checks can be sent to Moms on the Run, 5995 South Virginia Street, Reno NV 89502. please write "Carrie Wolfe" on the memo line of your check. We will also provide a collection box at the event.

Carrie was born in Waukegan, Illinois on August 14th. 1962 and came to Nevada at age 9, eventually settling down in Sparks. She attended schools in Las Vegas and went on to study Medical Assisting and Cosmetology. Having pursued a variety of occupations while raising her family she found her niche at Bellissima Beauty and Wig Salon, where she worked as a nail technician and wig consultant for 20 years.

At Bellissima Carrie made scores of lifelong friends and provided counsel and comfort to countless cancer patients. Her own personal experience of cancer (she was diagnosed in 1997 and 1999) made her uniquely qualified for this role. She volunteered for 20 years at Renown's "Look Good, Feel Better" program, helping women in cancer treatment to look and feel their best.

Carrie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. When she was not dedicating her time, energy and love to her family and friends, she had many interests including arts and crafts, outdoor recreation, photography, gardening and travel.

Predeceased by her father Gerald Albertson, Carrie is survived by her mother Esther Peterson, sisters Denise Miller, Kim Albertson-Schepers, Tammi Jo Albertson-Wilkins, brothers Timothy Miller and Daniel Stevens, husband George Wolfe, sons Landon Miller, Adrien Miller and Brian Bacon, daughter Shawntel Bacon and her husband Josh Little. Stepchildren Vincent Wolfe (Nicole) and Stephanie Nesler (Chad). Her grandchildren Melanie, Zane, Caspian, Kyler, Oliver, Cooper, Nash, Ryker and Logan were her inspiration to defy a grim prognosis of her cancer and to remain in their lives as long as she could. The journey to her eternal rest began Thursday evening as a gentle rain shower created a rainbow overhead.

It’s hard to imagine a life without Carrie in it - I still feel her presence in the salon and after she retired, I went to her house to get a manicure and we just laughed the whole time. Carrie never knew a stranger and was so kind to all those she met whether they were clients or not - they were all friends to her. Her family meant so much to her and she welcomed each grandchild as the biggest gift in the world. And she and George had the greatest relationship - he was so good to her. She will be missed by many, but never forgotten.

She was such a beautiful spirit❤ I remember her fondly going above and beyond to sooth and comfort a customer in shopping through the wig process.

Carrie’s loving and accepting nature affected many lives....she had (and still has) the capacity to love without being judgmental, and I can’t count the times that she rescued my sister GigiThere’s a dark spot on the sun without Carrie on this earth, but another brightly shining star in the night sky.

There will never be another Carrie as she was one of a kind. She brought sunshine with her wherever she went and to whomever she met. To say she will be missed is truly an understatement.
