Coleen Welch Obituary
Sparks - Coleen K. Welch, 76, passed away on Dec. 21, 2018 at Renown Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
Coleen was born on Aug. 11, 1942 to Art & Alma Messerly in Kellogg, Idaho. Coleen spent much of her youth on a ranch in Owachee, Nevada. She graduated from Elko High School in 1960. Shortly after high school, Coleen met her future husband, Charles B. Welch, at a rodeo and two months later were married and had a wonderful 52 years happily married. Coleen and Charles meant the world to each other and were the definition of soul mates.
Coleen and Charles had one son, Chas, who was the light of her life. Coleen also had one granddaughter, Molly, who brightened her days.
Coleen worked on ranches in her early adult life. She then changed directions and worked in appraisal and real estate. Coleen retired as an Appraiser III for Washoe County in 2003.
Coleen was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Coleen is survived by her son, Chas; granddaughter, Molly; and her sister, JoAnne.
At Coleen's request, there will be no service.

So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Coleen and Charles were both wonderful people and a pleasure to be around. I have good memories of working with your dad in Fallon and sharing meals both. When I picture them what comes to mind is lots of smiles and laughter.

My thoughts are with the family during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there is hope for our loved ones lost in death can be reassuring.
