David Mendershausen Obituary

David Glenn Mendershausen Jr.

David Glenn Mendershausen Jr. was born September 17, 1984 in Reno, Nevada to David Mendershausen Sr. and Cindi (Church) Lee. He passed away unexpectedly on May 30,2021.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving wife Jen and their beautiful daughter Raia.

David attended Hug High School where he enjoyed football and wrestling as well as the gifted and talented program. He attended University of Reno where he obtained his Mechanical Engineering Degree in 2006.

On July 30,2007 he married Jennifer Knagenhelm. To this union Raia Dawn was born in 2007.

David is also survived by his step-parents Ron Lee and Cathy Mendershausen, Step-sisters Brandi Becht and Amy Hoover, grandmother Linda M. Church, Mother-in-Law Rhonda Colunga, Grandmother-in- Law Evelyn King , and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

David will be remembered as a generous, intelligent, loving husband, father and son. He also will be remembered for his beautiful kind soul. He was a shining star that was taken away from us way too soon.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 18, 2021 at Peavine Pavillion in San Rafael Park in Reno, Nevada from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Family welcomes you to share your memories of David.

David was a uniquely brilliant engineer with whom I had the pleasure to work at ElectraTherm. I just happened upon this reaching out to see how the Dixie Valley Geothermal Plant was running, and was surprised to see he was gone. My condolences! David will be dearly missed!

I am beside myself. i am so very, very sorry and heartbroken to hear this news. i know how much love was with in his family. Please know that you all will be in my prayers and my David rest in peace, He always showed me such kindness when others were not so kind to me.
