Denise Zubiria Obituary
Gilbert, AZ - Denise Cordova Zubiria, 70, of Gilbert, Az was taken to soon on January 8, 2018. She passed away at Banner Gateway hospital. She was born in Reno Nevada to John Cordova and Genevieve Larralde, both of Reno, Nv.
Denise was a nurse for 50 years. She worked at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno, and for Banner Health in Gilbert, Az.
Denise is proceeded in death by her parents John Cordova and Genevieve Lopey. Her sister Nanette Cordova Bowen, grandmother Delia Kustura, and stepfather Merle Lopey. She is survived by her husband Jose Zubiria of 42 years, daughter Suzette Kidney and daughter -in-law Lois Zubiria, son Michael Zubiria, and son-in-law Tony Kidney. Granddaughters Crystal Pfeiffer, Brianna Kidney and Ashley Kidney. Grandsons Tyler Kidney, and Shiloh Zubiria. Two great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons.
A celebration of life will be in May in Reno. It will be posted on facebook through Denise's facebook page.

Denise was a beautiful friend. We shared many years of camp outs and Basque picnics together. Our girls grew up as best friends and we shared many of their activities also. Living in Silver Springs was an amazing part of our lives. Denise is truly missed.

Mom you were taken to soon. i know you are in a better place. No more pain. You were always my biggest supporter and cheerleader. I will miss you every day. I know you are up in heaven with Nana, gramps, Nan, Noni, and my godmother Karen. Rest in peace mom for now you are at peace.

She was my 1st cousin and a friend for life. I will always be indebted to her for using her nursing skills on my father for over 18 months after he had a horrific automobile accident. She worked with him relentlessly to make him whole again. I miss her, I loved her, and send my condolences to all of our family and friends. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
