Doris Lang Obituary

Doris Swedberg Lang

Reno - Our precious, amazing, beautiful mom went to join her 6 siblings, our dad, and brother, Dave and many other family and friends on Nov 15, 2018 at the age of 97.

She drove to her usual morning bingo for the last time that morning.

She was born in Clare, Illinois and grew up in Sycamore, Illinois, where she worked at the Dekalb Ag. She joined the Navy in WWll where she met and married John (Jack) Lang.

They moved to Reno where they started a business, bought a home and raised three children. They were charter members of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

She was widowed at 58 and started her own business at 70 and retired at 85.

She had many interests, many friends, and so many who loved her dearly. She was an accomplished cook, loved to keep up on her iPad, and read the newspaper cover to cover every day.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda, son Terry, his wife, Cheryl Field-Lang and those whose lives she touched daily.

We will plan a celebration this summer.

Our hearts are broken.

I am so very sorry to hear of Doris' passing. What a cool lady she was! I knew her when I lived in Reno in the late 40's early 50's and just recontacted with her a couple of years ago. My condolences to her family and friends.
