Earlene Parker Obituary

Earlene Parker, 73, died August 24, 2014 at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Earlene was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 12, 1943. She graduated from St Louis Public School System. Earlene moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1982 and then to Anchorage in 1988 and spent the rest of her years. Earlene was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Center of Hope Church of God in Christ. She received the Pioneer Woman's award from the Women's' Department of Church of God. She loved reading, cooking and music. Psalm 91:1-2 "He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord. He is my refuge and my fortress. May God in Him I will trust." Survived by her husband, Louis Parker; sons Anthony Brown of Hannibal, Missouri, Timothy Brown of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter Celestine Perkins of St Louis, Missouri; son Lorenzo Carter of Anchorage; step-daughters Monica Hunter of Richmond, Virginia, Pamela Cameron, Tara Parker, Lashonda Parker all of Anchorage; step-son Terry Parker of San Antonio, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister Helen Jones; brothers Donald and David Brown all of St. Louis, Missouri. Preceded in death by her parents Joshua Brown, Sr. and Mary Brown, and grandson Timothy Brown, Jr. Services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at Center of Hope Church of God in Christ, 300 Klevin St. in Anchorage with Pastor Lincoln Snow officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m., with the service starting at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Ft Richardson National Cemetery with pallbearers Izaiah Parker, Tarron Celestine, Terrence Stern and Anthony Brown. Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel
