There is an old Native American proverb that tells us, "They are not gone who live in the hearts they left behind." Ed Ely continues to live in our hearts. Peace, Jean+ & John Rogers

During our lifetimes God blesses us from time to time with special people. God blessed us with the presence and friendship of Ed Ely. During the short time we were living in Nixon, Ed was an important part of our lives. We thank God for Ed and his family.
Blessings, Rev. Jean and John Rogers

I was privileged to have been the Episcopal priest
on the Pyramid Lake Reservation in 1992-94 and during that time I was blessed with Ed Ely and the Ely family's friendship and support. I could always count on Ed to help out on our church projects and services. His ability to incorporate the Native American spirituality with our Christian beliefs was beautiful and I learned so very much which has assisted me in my 28 years of ministry. Ed was a caring man with a great sense of humor. He left our world a better place because of his presence. Ed is now at rest. Bless Dorothy and his family as they grieve the loss of the patriarch of their family. Ed Ely lives in the hearts of all that were blessed with his presence during his earthly life.

No one has done more for the children on the reservation than Ed Ely. My son learned so much not only of his own culture, but of others as well. What an honor and privilege to have had Ed in our lives. My love to his wonderful wife Dorothy and family.
