Gary Freese Obituary
With family and friends keeping vigil, Gary Earl Freese passed away on Tues., Aug. 9, 2011, at home in Sparks, Nev. He was 60.
Born May 24, 1951 in Tracy, Calif., Gary grew up in Stockton and attended Delta College, then served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Berlin, Germany (1971-'72), where he was an expert marksman.
A member of Local 363; Gary worked in both gaming and paving for over 20 years, before becoming owner-operator of Gary Freese Trucking.
He loved travel, gardening, photography, bicycling, cooking, golf, movies, and attending events and shows with family and friends. Gary was kind, generous and compassionate, and a loyal son, brother and friend.
Preceded in death by his father, Wallace Owen Freese, Gary is survived by his mother, Ruby Hensel, Santa Rosa, CA; siblings Ronald Freese, Pinecrest, CA; Roxie Jiminez, Auburn, CA; Robin Freese, Fresno, CA; Bob Hensel, Windsor, CA; Brian Hensel, Sebastopol, CA; 10 nieces and nephews; longtime lady friend Wishelle Banks; best friend of 50 years, Craig Marshall, Reno, NV., and his loyal Australian cattle dog, Quigley.
Memorials may be directed to the SPCA of Northern Nevada.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled soon. FMI: 775-378-0926.

Gary wasn't just my brother, he was my friend. Always there, ready to listen, never to judge. He was never too tired or busy to meet me for lunch or dinner and it was almost always at the drop of a hat. There only good memories of Gary. I just wish there were more. Roxie jimenez,Auburn, Ca.
