Issac "Ike" L. Berry

Ike was born in Twin Falls, Idaho to Marjorie and Leo Berry.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1966, when he was 17 years old. On March 10, 1967 he boarded a troop ship with 5, 600 other soldiers on a 22 day journey to Vietnam. He was there for 20 months with the 557th Engineer Company. He was Honorably Discharged November 7, 1968.

In 2015, Ike was privileged to participate in the Vietnam Veteran's Honor Flight from Reno to Washington, DC.

"Holy Cow!" What an amazing honor that was for him.

Ike's passion was fly fishing with his friends and family. He loved the art of fly fishing and loved teaching it to others. Oh, the stories we have heard of being in God's great creation, catching and releasing the beautiful fish from rivers and lakes.

Ike was preceded into heaven by both of his parents and grandparents, also by his brother Jim. He is survived by his sister Dee Tresley, brother Larry and his wife Ginger Berry, many nephews and nieces and his cousin Mike Murphy.

Ike loved bringing his homemade chocolate chip cookies to family parties almost as much as the family loved eating them.

Now, "This is the deal", Ike would want for us to celebrate the many happy accomplishments in his life and to go on living the good life he enjoyed. Loving one another and helping one another through this journey called life.

A "Celebration of a Life Well Lived" will be at Sparks Christian Fellowship on February 2, 2017 at 2:00pm.
