Julia Lynette Krueger, a beloved wife, mother and Nonna, joined her angels on August 4, 2017 when she sadly lost a long, hard-fought battle with peritoneal cancer. She was 61.

Born November 1, 1955, in Butte, Montana, Julie was the youngest of seven children. She grew up in Sacramento, CA where she attended El Camino High School and met the love of her life, her husband of 40 years, Mark Krueger. They married and raised three children. Julie loved being a mom and was always the loudest and proudest fan at all of her children's sporting events and childhood activities. The family relocated to Reno, NV in 1997 where they happily settled in and watched their family grow and thrive. Julie was an adorning grandmother to three grandchildren and recently welcomed two more adorable grandbabies this last year. Her family was her pride and joy and she dedicated her life to caring for them and all of the people that she loved.

Julie had a zest for life and a positive energy that drew people to her. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing Christmas stockings for all of her children and grandchildren. She loved holidays, especially St. Patrick's Day, where she proudly celebrated her Irish heritage. She had a smile that would light up the room and a heart of gold that touched the lives of everyone that knew her.

Julie is preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Lucille Ferriter, and three brothers: Donald, Jack and Robert "Rudy" Ferriter. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark; her three children, Jenny (Krueger) Frederito, Erin (Krueger) Seipel and Ryan; her five grandchildren: Grace, Keaton, Aubrey, Dylan and Lyla; her brother Tom Ferriter, sister Kathleen Tuxill, sister Audrey Turney, many nieces and nephews and a large extended family. Special thanks to the wonderful oncology nurses and doctors at Renown Hospital and a heartfelt thank you to her amazing doctor, Dr. Peter Lim.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Julie on Sunday August 20, 2017 from 11 am - 2 pm at the family home in Reno. Family and friends are welcome to come by and honor Julie as we celebrate her and the wonderful life that she lived. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the Conquer Cancer Foundation or the Reno Cancer Foundation.
