Kylee Lesourd Obituary

Kylee Lorraine

LESOURD

Our brave and beautiful hero passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Kylee was diagnosed with a brain tumor on February 14, 2007. Throughout the eighteen months since diagnosis Kylee was an inspiration to her family and friends. Kylee was always smiling and never complained. Even though she was only eight, Kylee was the bravest, strongest person we knew and she inspired us all. Kylee was born on April 12, 2000 along with her twin brother Kasey. Kylee was a third grader at Brown Elementary School. To say that Kylee loved school would be an understatement. Kylee loved to read, learn, and be with her friends and teachers.

Kylee is survived by her parents, Kehl and Julie LeSourd; big sister, Kehli-Anne; twin brother, Kasey; grandmother, Lorraine Morrow; aunt, Sandra LeSourd; uncle, Jim Morrow; uncle and aunt, John and Laura Morrow; aunt and uncle, Stacy and Ken Burton; numerous cousins and second cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Richard Morrow; grandmother and grand- father, Ferol and Lee LeSourd.

Our family would like to thank Dr. Caroline Hastings, Dr. Raphael, and Connie Goes of Children's Hospital of Oakland, and Angie, Tia, and Sandy of Renown for their absolutely amazing and loving care of Kylee. To Dr. L. Alan Johnson and Sandy from Sierra Eye Associates for helping us and being there with phenomenal care and compassion since the beginning. To the amazing Teachers, Staff, Students and Families at Brown Elementary School, we cannot begin to express how grateful we are for everything that you did for Kylee. Thank you for always welcoming, loving and being there for Kylee and our entire family. To our wonderful friends and family, thank you for surrounding us with all of your love and support. You are all amazing people and will stay in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Kylee's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Kylee's name to The Humane Society, Make-A-Wish, or Keaton Raphael Memorial of Reno.

I feel so lucky to have known someone as amazing as Kylee. Her jokes, her boundless creativity, her concern for others. Her funny songs. Truly one of the brightest, most courageous individuals I have ever met. I miss her.

Kylee couldn't have had a more loving and caring family around her. I think about you all. She had the best mom, dad, brother and sister any little girl could hope for.

A brave and beautiful hero is absolutely right. I'll never forget you, Kylee.

Kehl, Julie, Kehli, and Kasey,
Thankyou for Sharing your sweet Kylee with us all. She was truly one of God's most perfect Angels.
Kylee was selfless, giving, and quietly overlooked the many bumbling human fallibilitys the world surrounded her with. She did this so naturally, with unwavering love and an incredible sense of humor.
So to this beautiful, wise and ancient soul, we say, "thankyou" for your humble example of something we all struggle with daily - To see with a truer vision, past all our human weeknesses to the devine within.
We will miss you sweet one.
Love,
Renee, Bill, Jess & Tommy

Lesourd family,
I am really sorry for what happened. I feel really really sad, and me and Kylee were really good friends. I wish this never happened, I miss her a lot. I framed the picture of me, Kylee, and Sarah and I put it next to my bed.
Love, Ryan
